There are so many ways you can get involved. If you’re not sure what’s right for you, then email us from our Contact us page and we’ll be in touch to help you find the perfect fundraising activity.
You should be able to donate online in our local currency, your card provider or bank may apply additional fee in exchange or banking charges. There are a number of alternative options:
Visit our Contact us page and donate to any of our international partners. Call us to make a payment by phone or get details about a bank transfer or email us for advice. Donate directly to MWF via JustGiving and search for your local Minhaj Welfare Foundation Page.They accept a range of currencies, and money reaches us securely. If you are unable to use any of these methods, please send a cheque in our or your local currency to our office. You can get details of our office form our Contact us page. Please note, bank charges may be deducted from your donation when using this method, so the other options are most cost effective for us.
Cheques should be made payable to Minhaj Welfare Foundation and sent to us at the mailing address on our Contact us page. Please note, we do not recommend sending cash through the post.
Whether the shares are bought on a profit/loss basis or for capital gain, in both cases the Zakat will be calculated using the current market value of the shares. The purchase value of the shares will not be taken into consideration, regardless whether at the time of calculating the Zakat the value of the shares increased or decreased in value from its purchase price.
Yes, if you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim Gift Aid on donations made online or offline, no matter how large or small. You can find out more about the Gift Aid scheme, and let us know that you’re eligible for Gift Aid here.
JustGiving and MuslimGiving are the two most popular sites supporters use to raise money for us. They both have some fantastic features, like the opportunity for you to set up your own fundraising page where you can upload photos and share messages about your event. Supporters who use these sites often raise more money than people just doing their fundraising offline. See our tips and ideas to improve your fundraising.

If you raise money on Facebook and want us to acknowledge this, please get in touch; you can email or send us a private message through Facebook.
We’d like to keep you up to date with our work, so may contact you from time to time by phone, email, text or post to let you know how we can support you and how you can get involved with our team. Your details will be kept securely and only shared with the suppliers or partners who work on our behalf or with us to deliver and improve our services. When you donate online you will receive an email confirmation of your gift almost immediately. If you send us a gift through the post or by paying directly into our bank we will also send confirmation by post, unless you advise us that you don’t need one.
